8-year-old firefighter Alex Tann has just put out a fire on Beehive Corner at Rundle Mall. The child hero wasted no time in running directly towards the burning building to extinguish the flames and save hundreds of lives.
The heroic effort is made even more incredible by the fact that young Alex is visually-impaired and has bravely fought brain cancer. Tann got into firefighting because before losing his sight, his favourite colour was red.
The team at Guzman y Gomez could not be more thankful for Adelaide’s hero. You’ve saved our city, our restaurant and the lives of our employees and customers!
We hung up a sign to thank Alex and gave his family a GYG gift card! Additionally, anyone from the Adelaide community who came along today to support this little legend was offered free fries with their meal!
We love you, Alex!
